Fotografique Submission Policy

Fotografique philosophy when evaluating material.

Fotografique operates as a Fine Art Photography Consultancy rather than as a Picture Library.

Our website whilst having the functionality of a library is one of several activities we undertake and therefore material submitted has to reflect Photography as an Art form.

We are always seeking new talent and request that artwork be produced within a “Project” or “Study” framework.

Fotografique only holds in it’s collection low resolution files for use in website inclusion, pdf client presentations and marketing. When entering into discussions with our clients regarding the purchase of specific images and licences, Fotografique will then contact the photographer to request the image in a suitable format. This therefore benefits the photographer as it provides protection from misuse and exploitation.

Image Supply Format

Fotografique is happy to evaluate material in all formats sent by recorded or registered post or courier, Delivery Costs are the responsibility of the Photographer.

Image File Specifications

Please submit either individual image files or arrange images as part of a pdf presentation. We would prefer that images of a higher standard than the specifications listed below are not submitted. It is prudent for the photographer to submit original works with a delivery note for the avoidance of doubt and confusion. Fotografique is happy to supply a delivery note for reference. For the avoidance of doubt, Fotografique would have to be content with the terms of the photographer’s delivery note before signing and accepting delivery.

Response to Submissions

If Fotografique decides that work submitted is suitable we will contact you via email to arrange an appointment in person to discuss issues in greater detail.

Review Fotografique’s Photographer Contract

We are more than happy to email a Photographer Contract to you on receipt of a submission.

When a photographer has been accepted to be represented by Fotografique what then happens?

The photographer will sign the photographers contract which details under Schedule A, which images are to be within the contract and any limitations to our representations specified under Schedule B.

We will arrange a meeting to agree a plan of action specific to that photographer, identifying relevant markets or clients to be targeted and projects or exhibitions to be undertaken.

Fotografique is keen for photographers to be submitting work on a continual basis for inclusion in our collection, and each project will be evaluated on an individual basis to the highest standards, furthermore we wish to inspire the artist to be always exploring forward and not to become stagnant.
