How do I search for a photograph?

Answer: There are several ways to search through the Fotografique archive.

A. Search the work of individual photographers and their biography by entering the “View by Photographer” option on the main page.

B. Search by using a keyword that describes the image you are hunting for, Eg. Keyword: Bridge.

C. Search the Fotografique archive by genre from the main page “View by genre”

What is a Keyword?

Answer: Every image in the archive has attached to it a list of keywords that relate and describe that image eg. Bridge, Cyprus

Do I have to register on this site to view the images?

Answer: No, you may view images without registering, but the images will have a watermark.

Why do I have to register?

Answer: All preview images will have a watermark to protect that image from being used without agreement. To view the images without a watermark it will be necessary to register on the site. This is to protect the copyright of the artists and reduce the chance of theft.

How do I purchase a photograph?

Answer: Search through the archive and then register, you will now be able to create a Lightbox of images that you are interested to purchase this will be submitted to Fotografique for consideration. We will respond by telephone or email within a short period of time.

In what format can I purchase the photograph?

Answer: Fotografique offers a bespoke service, one can buy digital images for commercial rights managed usage as well as traditionally printed artworks. Some Photographers however will not wish for their work to be commissioned for very commercial usage as they feel it does not suit their approach and philosophy.

Fotografique aims to promote the highest standards of photographic craftsmanship, at the same time as satisfying the collector or buyer’s needs.
